Your favorite holidays finally arrived! It’s clear that you want to rest and forget about waking up soon. But you are at Riviera Maya. There are a lot of plans, things to do and places to visit.

If you aren’t the type of person who like to wake up early, you shouldn’t worry about wasting the rest of your day. You can sleep all you want! This list has activities and places to visit without interrupting your dreams in the morning. Forget about the alarm clocks.

Xplor Fuego

It’s the nighttime version of the best adventure and zip line Park at Riviera Maya. Xplor Fuego opens at 5:30 in the afternoon, excellent if you want to sleep in the morning and do some action stuff in the evening. It closes at 11:30 pm, enough time to do all the activities at the Park, including a good meal at “el Troglodita” buffet.

Zip lines, underground rivers, rafts, amphibious vehicles, caverns, and delicious food without wake up early. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Xenses

The fantastic world where you can drink lemonade from the trees and the town has waterfalls that run from bottom to top is the next place on the list. You can visit the Park in its late shift, starting at 2:00 pm and closing at 7:00 pm. Undoubtedly, Xenses is a good challenge for all our senses.

You’ll find all type of activities here, even a fun spa with salt and mud rivers. You’ll fly like a bird, get wet in waterslide and become awaken your senses in the Xensatorium. Say no more and check this.

Xcaret

Xcaret also has a version for those who didn’t wake up early. I’m talking about the Xcaret at night admission. The time of entrance is at 4:00 pm. You can enjoy the Prehispanic Dances and the Horse Exhibition.

Cancun beaches

I know people that love to be literally all day long at the beach. If you prefer to sleep a couple of hours more, a visit to the beach still is a great option. Many beaches at the Hotel Zone in Cancun have public gyms, showers, bathrooms, and playgrounds. You can also rent an umbrella and sunbeds. This service may be available until 5 or 6 pm.

An evening at the beach is always a good idea. You can have a picnic and enjoy the tropical vibes of the Mexican Caribbean till the sun sets.

A trip to the islands

You are not forced to wake up early to have the best plan and get to know more places during your vacations. Our next recommendation are Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. Since you can take a ferry at any time of the day from Playa del Carmen or Cancun. By the time you arrived to the island, you can spend the evening snorkeling at the beach. Later you can have a beer at a local restaurant.

Don’t have to worry about the return. The last ferries usually leave near 12:00 am.

A shopping afternoon

Were you up late last night? Maybe you can use this day to go shopping. Look for your vacations souvenirs and buy the items that you forget to put in your luggage (it always happen). Walk the 5th avenue at Playa del Carmen or visit the shopping malls at Cancun.

They are outdoors, so the tropical environment is never lost.

However, keep in mind that you have to save one or two days to wake up early to do a tour, maybe visit an archeological zone or any other adventure activity with arranged schedules.

Meanwhile, you already have several good options for the days you prefer to sleep and start your day a little bit later.
