Life is full of amazing moments. Moments that make you smile, laugh and fall in love. But life can also bring some difficult times and stress. Our jobs, family, relationships and personal projects are some of the things that might make us feel stressed. The truth is that without these difficulties, life would be boring. We wouldn’t have moments that make us learn about ourselves and allow us to step out of our comfort zone.
The difficult times in our lives happen for a reason, these moments always teach us a lesson and help us grow as individuals.
When we are focused on solving issues or just immersed in the routine, we can feel overwhelmed and might forget to enjoy the small details in life.
Making a pause at least for a couple of hours and leave all our worries behind, allows us to free our mind and help us find new solutions to the problems of our daily life.
I would like to share with you a couple of places you should go to when you need some me-time. Some of these places are easily found and some might need a little more planning.
Have you ever been on the top of a mountain? As you walk to the top, you can enjoy the amazing view that becomes even more amazing as you keep ascending. You could do this and enjoy of the sunset from the top, I can assure you this is something you’ll love.
Feeling the sand on your feet, listening to the sound of the waves, feeling the sun on your skin and swimming in the ocean. The beach is one of my favorite places in the world. Simply watching the horizon and admiring the vastness of the ocean allows you to disconnect from the world.
Whether it is in the jungle, woods or a park, surround yourself with nature. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the wild.
If you have the opportunity to visit the Riviera Maya, I recommend the Xenotes Tour. A tour you may enjoy by yourself as you meet new people and enjoy the four different types of cenotes that exist in the world.
Some people might feel scared about this, but going to the movies is a perfect opportunity to distract yourself. I used to be very scared of going to the movies alone, I think this was due to the fact that I was scared of what people might think of seeing a girl alone at the movies. But I gave it a chance and I enjoyed every moment and the movie.
Whether you go camping to the woods or the beach, stepping out of the comfort zone of your room and your bed for a night allows you to open your mind to new possibilities. You can also enjoy the calm of nature.

Visiting these places always helps me distract myself and clear my mind. Places where you can simply enjoy the silence, the sound of nature, enjoy an amazing view or spend a nice time to reload your energy.
