Do you remember how you fell in love with your significant other? I remember that one of the reasons that made me fall in love with my boyfriend was that; when we were always together, we could make any moment fun and exciting. We both love doing new things, traveling, playing sports, and visiting new places.
A couple of days ago, we visited the new park of Grupo Xcaret, called Xavage. We didn´t know what to expect. We had only seen advertisements and a couple of pictures on social media about the activities the park has. So, to be quite honest, I was a little nervous because I am afraid of heights.

When we arrived at Xavage Park, we were surprised by the architecture and the design it had. From the very moment that you enter, you will be able to see one of the main activities that take place in the heart of the park, it is called Monkeys. This is an intense rope course with obstacles suspended in the air that are extremely high, especially when you look at them while you are at ground level.
After leaving our stuff in our lockers, we started our day out in Monkeys. This activity has 4 different difficulty levels with a variety of obstacles and height differences. The levels range from 26 to 104 feet in height.

We started with the second level and for me, it was a bit complicated because, despite that, I felt very safe due to the safety system they have in place, my fear of heights was definitely not helping. On the other hand, my boyfriend went through all the obstacles without a hassle. I had to breathe, take my time, pause for a moment, close my eyes and just keep walking. I probably would not have been able to finish, if my boyfriend hadn’t been there to cheer me through the difficult moments of the course.
Puma
The second activity that we did was Puma. In this activity, you drive an ATV vehicle through an obstacle circuit. The vehicles are enormous and pass over different obstacles like; stairs, bridges, and paths with rocks. This was an extreme activity that we both enjoyed very much.

After Puma, we wanted to do a water activity to freshen ourselves up. We decided to do Barracuda which is usually done in teams of 6 to 8 people that go on a raft, over a fast river with falls and obstacles. This is a fun activity and it is more exciting because even if you go by yourself or with someone else, you will always end up teaming up with other visitors to enjoy this activity to the fullest, plus the excitement the guides have will cheer up your day and make this an unforgettable experience.

Dragonfly
Last but not least, the final activity of our day was Dragonfly, a fast-speed boat that executes 360° turns and goes extremely fast through narrow canals, which almost feel as if you are about to crash at any moment. This was one of my favorite activities and is a perfect way to end a very active day.

We ended up going to visit the park´s restaurant, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the park. The food is delicious, and it has a great variety of food options for everyone’s favorite preference. From salads to ceviche, desserts, and a section of “savage” food, where you can find exotic meats like a crocodile, rabbit, or wild boar.
We didn´t have time to do all the park’s activities but we had an amazing day at Xavage. We want to go back and try the rest of the difficulty levels at Monkeys.
If you are an adventurous person, I recommend you visit Xavage Park, and if you are not very adventurous, I also recommend you visit this park because here you will have the opportunity to face your fears while being sure that you will be safe at every moment.
