Amazing nature in Mexico
Have you ever dreamt about to visiting the Sahara desert or the pyramid of Giza in Egypt? but, what if we tould you that you can visit amazing places like those mentioned before but in Mexico? Don’t you believe us? Then keep reading this blog post.
Mexico is a country full of incredible natural scenarios and many things that you would like to see abroad can be found in our country. Here we share with you 5 of them, although we assure you that there are many more. But we don’t tell you so that you will be encouraged to explore and surprise yourself with your own findings.
1.- How about pink lakes?
If you like lakes of amazing colors and you want to go to Australia to discover and swim in Lake Hillier, before making that trip, which will be wonderful for sure, we invite you to visit Las Coloradas in Yucatan, Mexico. This pink lake is part of the Rio Lagartos Biosphere Reserve and is located in the town of the same name. Since the lagoons are so shallow and salty, the red algae and plankton are brine shrimp are concentrated and as a result, their pink color makes the water pink.

2.- Amazing petrified waterfalls
In the world there are only two places where there are petrified waterfalls, those places are Pamukkale in Turkey and Hierve el Agua in Oaxaca, Mexico. This special phenomenon of nature is due to the runoff of water with a high content of minerals over thousands of years. Undoubtedly both places are worth visiting, but if you are coming to Mexico or you live in this country, we invite you to get to know Hierve el Agua, we are sure you won’t regret it.

3.- Fascinating Crystal Caves
Nature is amazing and does’t stop surprising us with its beautiful scenarios. The crystal caves are proof of that. In Mexico there is a beautiful crystal formation inside a mine called Naica. These crystals are the largest discovered on the planet reaching up to 13 meters and weighing more than 55 tons. Unfortunately, due to the high temperatures, the camera where these crystals are located is not open to the public. But, do not worry, if you want to admire this same spectacle of nature you can visit the Crystal Cave in Bermuda, which is 36 meters deep and during your visit, you can visit crystal clear lakes.

4.- Enigmatic ancient constructions
A dream for many people is to visit the pyramids of Egypt, especially that of Giza, for its history and majesty. However, you don’t have to travel to that country to enjoy ancient buildings with great history and mysticism. In Mexico we have great temples, among them, one of the most important is the Pyramid of the Sun. This pyramid is one of the largest in all Mesoamerica with 63.5 meters in height. The stairway had 260 steps that corresponded to 52 steps for each sun.

5.- Beautiful deserts
Why go to the Sahara to discover the desert? Believe it or not, in Mexico we also have a large and striking desert, we are talking about the Pinacate and the Great Desert of Altar in Sonora. It is one of the most remarkably visible land formations in North America seen from space. It is also a World Heritage Site since June 2013 by UNESCO. But if you still want to visit the Sahara, we are sure you will love it too. It is the warmest desert in the world and the third largest and you can perform various activities such as camel trekking through its dunes or sandboarding.
