What is TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame?

Discover the parks in Riviera Maya that joined this exclusive family

Every great traveler knows that a little previous investigation is necessary to take on a new adventure. This makes sites like TripAdvisor your go-to option. With reviews from travelers around the world, lists, and valuable certifications, it helps us take a wiser decision. However, not many know that TripAdvisor holds a treasured Hall of Fame, where the exceptional work of touristic centers is celebrated. This award is only given to establishments that have accomplished five consecutive years with the site’s Certificate of Excellence. Among the five members of the Hall of Fame are:

The adventure park opened its doors in 2009 and has won multiple certifications since. Among them: “World’s most visited zip-line park”. Besides entering the Hall of Fame, this year, Xplor turns 10 years old, occupying a very special place in the hearts of its visitors, who always come back in search of new experiences. An all-inclusive park that takes you from the heights of its zip-lines to the depths of its caverns.

An experience of disconnection that takes you deep into the Ruta de los Cenotes (Cenote’s route), visiting the four types of cenote that exist in the world and taking part in activities like zip-lining, platform jumping, kayaking, assisted rappel, and swimming. A tour amidst the jungle, hidden in magnificent views. Xenotes is proof that sometimes you must disconnect from the routine, in order to reconnect with yourself.

Inspired by the traditional Trajineras (gondolas) from the country’s center, Xoximilco is born as a tribute to the original Xochimilco from Mexico City. Full of fun, food, drinks, and colors, this park will take you through water canals in gondolas that represent each state in Mexico. In Xoximilco, you will share a long table with your friends and family and dance to the rhythm of the Mariachi, marimbahuapango, and more traditions other than the Mexican folklore.

La Casona de Valladolid

This restaurant of regional gastronomy located in a beautiful colonial house in the Magical Town of Valladolid has become one a must among the area. Not only is the food traditionally spectacular, the historic beauty of the house and an altarpiece made from Talavera works and diverse handcrafts in a fountain dedicated to the Virgen de la Candelaria make for an impressive work of art. La Casona de Valladolid is a tribute to the beauty, culture, and traditions of Mexico.

Quality and excellence in service are tough duties, however, the reward is exquisite when it can be seen in the smiles of those who leave, wanting to come back. In the service, hospitality, and entertainment industry, there’s no higher satisfaction than our visitor’s happiness. The satisfaction can also be seen in important acknowledgments and awards that make us feel proud of our job. This 2019 has been filled with awards and joy for Grupo Xcaret.
