If it’s your first time attending this big night, you might be wondering, "What should I wear?" Your outfit can make the difference between a comfortable, fun night and an uncomfortable experience. So, here are some tips to help you choose the right attire and make the most of the evening.
First, prioritize comfort since you'll be strolling around, dancing to traditional and modern music, participating in games and activities, and enjoying a wide variety of delicious dishes prepared by talented cooks. Choose clothing that allows you to move freely. A light dress, loose-fitting shirt, comfortable pants, or a skirt would be ideal.
Also, keep in mind the Caribbean climate. Evenings in the Riviera Maya are usually warm and humid, so it's essential to choose cool, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen.
Don’t forget your shoes—it’s crucial but often overlooked. Since you’ll be on your feet most of the night, walking and dancing, wearing comfortable shoes is essential. Avoid high heels or new shoes that might cause blisters or discomfort.
I also recommend bringing a comfortable bag or small backpack to carry your belongings and any prizes you might win at the game booths.
That's it! You now have the perfect outfit for this great night. Follow these tips to ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
The event starts at 06:00 pm. Arriving on time will allow you to explore the different food stands without rushing, meet the cooks, and learn about the ingredients and techniques they use.
If you're a guest, remember it's a short walk from your room to the Xpiral Pyramid. I recommend leaving half an hour early so you can enjoy a leisurely walk, reach the highest point of the Pyramid, take some photos with the Caribbean Sea in the background, or simply stop to admire the scenery.
If you're an external guest, there are two additional things to consider. First, park your car and take the transfer to the hotel. Although it's not far, the entrances can get crowded. Second, upon entering Hotel Xcaret Mexico, you'll need to register to get your access bracelet for the event. So, I recommend arriving an hour early to enjoy the whole experience without any setbacks.
If you're a food lover who enjoys trying new flavors, you can't miss this experience. With 42 food stands and 17 beverage stands, each offering a unique and delicious proposal, you're in for a treat.
Come prepared for a real feast. Don’t limit yourself to just a few options; instead, enjoy small portions of everything you can. Tonight, you'll embark on a gastronomic tour featuring some of the most iconic dishes from each state of the Mexican Republic.
Each food stand will offer the authentic and representative tastes of its region, from tacos al pastor to cemitas poblanas, cochinita pibil, and pozole. It's not just about eating; it's about experiencing and savoring the culinary richness of Mexico in one place.
You'll also find a variety of desserts, such as ice cream, marquesitas, bread, and typical sweets.
Remember to stay hydrated. The beverage stands offer everything from traditional aguas frescas and the famous cantaritos to micheladas and creative, exclusive cocktails. Each drink complements the flavors of the dishes, giving you a complete experience.
The event is packed with activities that guarantee fun for everyone. You’ll find a mechanical bull and 20 stations with traditional games like lotería, marbles, and futbolito. Each station offers a chance to enjoy and connect with Mexican traditions in a fun and entertaining way, with plenty of laughter.
A Mexican night wouldn’t be the same without music and a festive atmosphere. Music and dance are essential parts of Mexican culture, and this event features a variety of live performances. From mariachis to son jarocho groups, each performance will transport you to the heart of Mexico.
Don’t miss the Banda del Pueblo tour, which starts at 8:00 pm and moves throughout Xpiral, creating a festive vibe with everyone dancing and singing along. Plus, the night wouldn’t be complete without the mariachi performance on the main stage at 10:45 pm.
Finally, the dance floor will be open from 11:30 pm to 1:00 am. Let the rhythm take over, and enjoy the moment.
Experiencing the Grito de Independencia is more than just honoring the heroes who shaped our homeland; it’s a moment when Mexicans proudly embrace our identity and culture.
This celebration captures the essence of the Mexican spirit, brimming with joy and color, and is undoubtedly the highlight of the night. Even if you're not Mexican, you won’t want to miss this magical moment during the "32 Grandes Cocineras" event at Xcaret Hotels, happening on the main stage at 11:00 pm.
I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to enjoy the Mariachi Adelitas and immerse yourself in the excitement before joining in the collective shout of ¡Viva México!
