Xcaret Shines at the MexBest Awards 2025: Hospitality, Gastronomy, and a Unique Tourism Legacy

August 22, 2025

At the most recent edition of the MexBest Awards 2025, held in Guadalajara, Grupo Xcaret once again proved why it is considered a benchmark in tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy in Mexico and around the world. The ceremony, held on August 20, recognized the most outstanding divs and projects in the sector, where Xcaret took home some of the night’s most important awards.

The Awards that Marked the Night

The gala not only celebrated the best in Mexican tourism but also witnessed the consolidation of Grupo Xcaret as a leader in hospitality and unique experiences. Among the most anticipated categories of the night, two of the group’s hotels stood out, winning awards that reaffirm their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and luxury with a Mexican essence.

The star of the evening was Hotel Xcaret Arte, which received the MexBest Award for Best All Inclusive Experience. This recognition highlights how the innovative All-Fun Inclusive model has transformed the way travelers experience the concept of “all inclusive.”

In addition to top-level food and beverages, the hotel offers unlimited access to Grupo Xcaret’s parks: Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xoximilco, Xenses, and Xenotes. With this, hospitality becomes a cultural, artistic, and sustainable experience that elevates the tourism offer of the Riviera Maya.

Another major recognition of the night went to La Casa de la Playa, awarded Best Gourmet Experience. This exclusive boutique hotel redefines luxury from a Mexican, artisanal, and sustainable vision.

With only 63 suites—each with a private pool—and a design inspired by Mexico’s cultural richness, La Casa de la Playa is a sanctuary of hospitality. Yet, the true protagonist is its culinary offering. Internationally renowned chefs such as Andoni Luis Aduriz, Martha Ortiz, and the Rivera-Río brothers lead unique gastronomic experiences that celebrate Mexico’s diversity with creativity and artistry.

This award positions the hotel as a benchmark of haute cuisine in Mexico, ideal for those seeking an unforgettable sensory journey.

More Than Hotels… Experiences

These awards not only highlight the excellence of Grupo Xcaret’s hotels but also reinforce the vision behind each project: to offer experiences that combine nature, culture, and world-class hospitality.

A philosophy that has a name and face in the person who started it all: Miguel Quintana Pali, the architect behind a legacy that today stands as a reference in sustainable tourism in Mexico.

The evening was also a moment to honor architect Miguel Quintana Pali, co-founder and CEO of Grupo Xcaret, who received the Hotel Business Lifetime Achievement Award 2025.

His story began in 1984, when he acquired land in the Riviera Maya and discovered cenotes and underground rivers. That discovery inspired him to create Xcaret Park, inaugurated in 1990, which soon became one of Mexico’s most visited tourist attractions.

With vision and leadership, Quintana Pali and the Constandse brothers expanded the project into Destino Xcaret, a model of sustainable tourism that today includes parks, hotels, tours, and unique experiences.

The recognition of his career not only celebrates decades of work but also his mission of making the planet happier through love for Mexico.

Grupo Xcaret’s Legacy

With more than three decades of history, Grupo Xcaret has revolutionized sustainable tourism in Mexico. Its portfolio includes:

Iconic parks: Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xoximilco, and Xenses.
